My musical tastes are eclectic--techno, the blues, some jazz, classical, new age, old school rock, disco (reminds me of my youth!), Christian Contemporary, you name it! Some rap, some hip-hop, dance music... If it is done well, has a beat, and means something I generally enjoy it!
Don't get out to many movies, but enjoy those that tell a story or entertain. I like drama, some horror, scifi, romantic comedy, family type movies (ala Disney), psychological thrillers, and so forth...
I really don't watch TV--but my tastes are similar to those of the movies I watch... Hate shock talk TV, or shows that glorify other's misfortune... I like the occasional HGTV, DIY broadcasts, and things that entertain and educate, or that I can just laugh at.
Books are my passion, and I read lots!Scifi and fantasy are tops, inc. Robert Jordan, Charles DeLint, Anne McCaffery, Katherine Kurtz, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Ray Bradbury, Robert E. Heinlein, Margaret Weiss and Tracy Hickman, just to name a few...Mystery books are a close second, and include authors such as Anne Perry, Faye Kellermann, Susan Albert Wittig, Earlene Fowler, and, Rita Mae Brown--I prefer female mystery writers because they tend to focus on character development as well as the technical info--don't like too much GRAPHIC blood and gore....I love psychological thrillers, anything by Stephen King, Peter Straub, and Iris Johansen... and I also enjoy the trade romances--cotton candy reading is what I call it!My local library is my best friend, followed by barnes and nobles....
My Father and Mother, Erik Erikson, Jean Piaget, my kids... all our service men and women and the families that support and love them...
