Metalage is described by the Urban Dictionary to be an adrinline rush given to someone by listening to metal. This term was defined after Metalage was formed and produced the name. They play classic Thrash , along with some heavy Sludge type metal. This results in a unique sound and mixture of songs. The heaviest influence on the band is Metallica. Inspired by the 80 thrash metal uproar,they are continuing the vision of Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth, and Slayer, Now Complete, Metalage is Ready to kick some ass.
Formation:
Around Mid 2006 Josh Vigness co-founded a band known as Violent Ritual. Later that year Anthony Leclerc was asked to join in as a Guitarist. While in Violent Ritual the only active members were Josh and Anthony. Most of the material was written by them, with the exception of the only released Violent Ritual song, Broken Souls. Then, early 2007, the two broke away from Violent Ritual to form the Death Metal band Demonic Age. The name, as well genre, was later changed before the expulsion of the lead vocalist. Metalage was born.
So, after many faild trials with singers as well as other bands the two founding members, Anthony Leclerc and Josh Vigness, came out of the rubble together. Soon to be reunited, there ready for anything. Metalage uses the classic "Metal Up Your Ass" outlook to bring the masses to their knees.Greatly influenced by Metallica, Black Sabbath and just good ol' Metal in particular, the sound is appearent in their style. Adding also alot of original sound in hopes to one day lead the Metal genre back to the top of the world.
Current Events: Due to the moving of guitarist Anthony Leclerc, Metalage has been on a temporary hiatus. But Anthony is going to be moving back Florida to reunite with Josh and they plan to dominate the Sarasota music scene.
