Libero Mureddu

Hi, I am an italian composer and pianist; I was born in Milano, but since 2003 I am resident in Finland. Since the last three years I am spending a lot of time in electronic music too. Here you can find samples of my music and information about my current projects, gigs, etc.For more detailed informations about me and my music please, check my website.

Now few words about the music here: track 1 and 2 are compositions made with the Yamaha Disklavier and Pure Data (the first) and Max/MSP (the second). In the second track I used a patch inspired by the piece 'Echo' by Jean-Claude Risset (used with his permission). This patch implements a very simple process : it provided two "echoes in canon" of the input, with a prescribed delay and a transposition in pitch (lower or higher) and in tempo (slower or faster).

Track 3 is from the duo with me and the classical guitarist Solmund Nystabakk in which I play mainly early keyboard instruments: harpsichord, clavichord and organ. This duo, now called "Ricercari" has a brand new myspace page!

Track 4 is an improvisation on a early baroque italian organ.

Track 5 is the quartet with me on the piano, Jukka Uljas on the sax, Florian Rynkowski on the bass and Visa Kuoppala on the drums.Happy listening!Libero
