Hey guys, this profile is still an idea in the making but I'll try to tell you all about it in this little box shall I?
The idea only grew into fruition yesterday (05/01/07), when the liquidation of Doncaster based promotion 1PW was announced. Many people were upset by the news, many were probably laughing at the thought. But it took something like this for many fans to realise that there is a real lack of wrestling in the North, and that there was before 1PW came along. Many of the fans are now worrying about where to get their wrestling fix, without having to travel to London or beyond, where events of a somewhat similar par are held.
The idea of this profile is to encourage other promotions to hold shows in the north, particularly in Yorkshire and the surrounding counties. It is also going to be designed (eventually) to help promoters advertise upcoming shows in the area. So if you know of a show, no matter how big or small, please let us know, and we will add it to the calendar for all fans on myspace to see.
Many rumours are circulating about the future of 1PW at the moment, but until anything is certain, theres no harm in illustrating how much the fans in the aforementioned area are desperate to see some decent wrestling.
