Definitely travel. Love to emmerse myself in other places - their histories and cultures and lives.Outdoors. I am loving getting to know Colorado and love hiking and camping. I also have recently taken up running.Books. Is there anything greater than getting lost in the story of someone else for a few hours?Live performance. Whether it is live theater, concerts, the symphony, or watching the guy miming on the street - I love watching someone else take all the emotion and passion they have deep within and turn it into a gift for the rest of us. Just awesome.Quotes. Silly, I know. But sometimes I find such deep meaning / sometimes such simple truth in the words of those who have come before me.
I am looking for new friends to hang out and explore the area with. I have taken up running recently so would like someone in the Parker area to run with (preferrably a beginner). I'd also love to meet some other people who are new to Denver and just want to meet someone new. I like people who are straight forward about life. I'm not into playing games - what you see is what you get.
I tend to be eclectic in my musical taste. For me, the best music is the music that you can feel in your pulse. If it tells a story that gets in your soul and speaks to you, then so much the better. Some favorites (in no particular order): Billy Joel, Josh Groban, Neil Young, Five For Fighting, Me First and the Gimme Gimmes, Meatloaf, U2, Bob Dylan, Buffalo Springfield, Miles Davis, Steppenwolf, Ozzy, Eric Clapton, Yo-Yo Ma, Dave Matthews Band, Cream, The Doors, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Tim McGraw, Phish, Rascal Flatts, Aerosmith, Ramones, Led Zeppelin, Butch Walker, Jimmy Buffet, Josh Turner, Bon Jovi, Van Morrison, Kate Rusby.
Guess it depends on the mood. You gotta love the action/adventure type that keeps you on the edge of your seat and throws you enough curves that it isn't predictable. Other times I crave something that will make me sit back and think and look at the world and wonder about my place in it. And sometimes I just want to laugh my a** off at a good comedy. Some favorites include: The Thomas Crowne Affair, Armegeddon, Dangerous Beauty, Pillow Talk, An Affair to Remember, Gross Pointe Blank, Serendipity, City of Angels, Con Air, and Face Off.
I don't have a lot of time for t.v. right now. When I do have time, I like shows that I can get lost in and that make me smile and/or make me think.
Yes. It is impossible to describe with simple words the pure joy I derive from the pages of someone else's imagination. Some favorites include The Alchemist, The Little Prince, J.D. Robb's "In Death" series, anything by Robert Fulghum, Harry Potter, and The Dangerous Book for Boys (yes, I know I'm not a boy - but it was a really interesting read :0)
I like everyday heroes. . . the guy who spends his free time being a big brother, the girl who befriends the unpopular kid in class, the underprivledged kid who works his butt off to improve his future and the life of his family. My personal heroes are my friends that have stuck by me, my family that hsa always been there, and anyone that I have found inspiration in.
