These tracks contain no sample. Everything has been created. They are the result of an extra-musical work in progress finding its roots in subjects I am interested in (such as voodoo, morphos, amazonia, penal colony) mixed with memories of some places I used to live in (Guiana, Tahiti, Britanny) and with notorious musical influences (Rythm & sound, Aphex Twin, Mad prof,...and many others.)
Dub composer (among other things) since1995, I’ve taken part in the creation and in the evolution of many amateur and professional bands (Kali yuga mandala, assin, bilor, jukebox,...) as a keyboard player (mainly) , also as a singer, bass or percussion player. I also played (with live performances) in an African percussion band, a song band, in a Batucada, a sound-system, and in a music group with children and doubled keyboard playing for live Reggae bands (Mina indah, Rasta Bigoud,...).

Ils sont l’aboutissement d’un travail extra-musical nourri de sujets qui m’interessent (vaudou, morphos, amazonie, bagne) mêlés à des souvenirs de lieux ou j’ai vécu (Guyane, Tahiti, Bretagne) et d’influences musicales reconnaissables (Rythm & sound, Aphex Twin, Mad prof,...et bien d’autres).
Compositeur dub (et autres) depuis 1995, j’ai participé à la création puis l’évolution de plusieurs groupes amateurs et professionnels (Kali yuga mandala, assin, bilor, jukebox,...) aux postes de clavier (essentiellement), chanteur, bassiste ou percussionniste. J’ai également joué (avec lives) dans des groupes de percussions africaines, de chanson, une batucada, des sound-system, avec des enfants, et fais des remplacements pour des concerts reggae (Mina indah, Rasta Bigoud,...).

Morpho comincia la sua attività musicale nel 1995 come compositore prevalentemente in ambito dub, prendendo parte nella creazione ed evoluzione di diverse band francesi e non, sia amatoriali che di livello professionistico (Kali yuga mandala, assin, bilor, jukebox, ecc…).
Attivo principalmente come tastierista ma anche come cantante, bassista, percussionista con band di percussioni africane, sound system, e reggae bands (Mina indah, Rasta Bigoud).
Attraverso queste molteplici esperienze matura così un suo personale live project incentrato su proprie produzioni. Il Sound di Morpho è il risultato di un attività di ricerca incentrato sull’esplorazione delle tradizioni, delle proprie radici combinandole con altre culture, memorie e luoghi (voodoo, morphos, amazonia, penal colony) e note influenze musicali quali Rhythm and Sound, Aphex Twin, Mad Professor, ecc…
