About Me

From Gitkxaahla and Ts'msye'en peoples, the oldest village on the northwest coast, sovereign unconquered peoples. Took it upon myself to immerse in the stories and knowledge of my people amidst conformity and assimilation and have yet to complete this quest of decolonization and regeneration to make my ancestors proud. Currently living and working in Coast Salish territories where the people still sleep too, ground zero in the belly of the beast. Lover and fighter for our oppressed and marginalized peoples and will never sell out that path and struggle to reclaim our lives and everything that is owed to our future generations.

My Interests

Adaawk (Tsimshian and northwest coast history having its unified origins at T'aamlaxaam/Temlahamid), fitness and health, mixed martial arts, lachyuup sanctuaries - lands unspoiled by the atrocities of modern society, rebel movements, radical music, revolutionary artwork, guerilla media, military strategy, guerilla warfare...

I'd like to meet:

the Zapatistas, the Palestinian kids that led the Intifadas, rebels - any rebels down for revolution, that rare almost mystical strong beautiful sexy intelligent 'traditional' indian woman ('traditional' yeah right keep dreaming! lol),tired of meeting ignorant lemming twits who know nothing about their roots or where they were or where they are going and yet so quick to sell out and turn their back on you and/or their people (insincere, selfish, petty stupidasses) BUT INSTEAD WANT TO MEET warriors, activists, comedians, radical artists, military strategists, open-minded people, free sense of humor, easily excitable types, chill laid back types, old souls who give good advice and something to say

Music:

old northwest coast songs with history (none of this mickey mouse aboriginal 'free willy' tourist crap), hardcore, punk, metal, classic rock, industrial, underground hip hop, some old school hip hop, grunge, alternative, some blues, some reggae

Movies:

V for Vendetta, the Godfather (1&2), the Big Lebowksi, Stander, X (Malcolm X), mafioso flicks, good action flicks, good non-corny comedies and horror movies, movies where the indians win! and we have yet to bring to life our most amazing of stories yet these hollywood settlers keep slowly stealing ideas from the oldest of our indian stories...the matrix, lord of the rings, sounds a lot like the exodus from t'aamlach'aam hey? hey?? shish, only a few would know what the heck im talking about anyways...

Television:

the Sopranos, Band of Brothers, I don't know, don't have cable to sit on my ass and be lazy

Books:

Tsimshian Narratives, Defending the Mouth of the Skeena, Suwilaay'msga Na Ga'niiyatgm, Wars of Midiik, Our Word Is Our Weapon, anything by Ward Churchill, Green Grass Running Water, People of the Pines: The Warriors and the Legacy of Oka, Blood in my Eye, Sun Tzu's the Art of War, Redwire Magazine, The Sicilian by Mario Puzo (Sicilian guerillas wage war with the mafia and roman gov't and pigs!), Warrior Publications, Wiinimkiikaa...

Heroes:

Indigenous people who are willing to lay it all on the line for their people. My mom, my late grandpa Johnson, our 'legendary' heroes of our own people, Tsibasaa, Legaic, Gamayaam, Nisooys, our own ancestors. The Zapatistas, the Mohawks and warriors who led up to the '1990 Oka Crisis.'
