Insomniac, Gitxsan, Newfy, Irish. My peoples have a long history of fighting on the land against hungry visitors - the colonizers. My Mom comes from Newfoundland, a place whose government (up to 1950) committed deep atrocities against the Indigenous Beotuck people, but also refused to become part of kkkanada, and hence many were exiled to the Swamps of Louisiana. My dad was born on a rez called Glen Vowel in Hazelton. His mom was a firey red headed traditional Irish woman (my grama) and his dad was a quiet Gitxsan speaking man (u got it my grampa). My mom and dad married in Prince George and divorced where I was born. I was raised by my mom, dad and my french/metis step dad.I learned Truth and Creativty from my Mom, and Anger from my Dad, thoes combined iz me.
