I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Welcome to Jack Crack, formarly known as Jack 'Starlet' Vanity's public and networking myspace page. I don't really use this page so much these days, but whatever. Sorry if it takes me a while to get back to you.
I currently (?)plays bass with punk rockers The Dominoes , though the band seems to be on indefinate hiatus at present. I hope to reconvene in September with lots of new material and a new uber productive outlook.
Failing that, I'm wanting to put a new band together, so any guitarists and drummers that wana get in touch would be cool.
In terms of networking, I'm meaking strong headway on establishing myself as DJ and promoter in London, having put on nights at The Nexus Club (Southampton), and DJ'd at Kill Kill Kill, The Intrepid Fox, The 12 Bar, and the Mean Fiddler (Soho), Electric Ballroom (Camden) and The London Stone (Cannon Street, Bank).
^ update on the following - I now live in Bath and DJ two slots down here. London can wait.
I work in HMV. It sucks. I want a new job.
Blah.

My Interests

Rock and Fucking Roll and all the trappings that come with such a lifestyle.

Hell. Yeah.

being broke sucks though!

I'd like to meet:

Fans, Bands, Bookers, Promoters, all round decent people.

Musicians who would be interested in me singing with them.

Looking for a new rock and roll band, and session musicians interested in working on my solo project - should sound like a mix of The Hellacopters, Backyard Babies, Iggy Pop, Motley Crue, The Cult, Jane's Addiction, Rachel Stamp, Eighties Matchbox, Tiger Army, Classic 50s Sun Records era rock'n'roll, blah blah blah...

Music:

Jack Vanity's current releases:

Fall Victim - 'Urban Legends': JSV chips in some backing vocals for good friends, spook'n'rollers Fall Victim. Available from the band at Myspace.com/FallVictim

V.A. - PureRawk - Unleashed and Loaded II: JSV provides lead vocals for puredecay's 'Tattooes and Stripper Shoes' on fanzine's second compilation release. Available from PureRawk.co.uk

To come: Some form of EP with The Dominoes, I should imagine, plus, some solo work, writing in progress. Also, auditions for some other very exciting opportunities, keep an eye out.
