About Me

"what we need is action, strategy, i want i want i want, I WANT IT NOW!" (bikini kill)

My Interests

radical* feminism, vegetarian and dairy-free food, unlearning, anti-racism, anti-capitalism, anti-consumerism, liberating public space & mental environment (* radical meaning "to go to the root of").women's makeup-free faces. women's hairy legs. autonomous women.paint. and found objects i can use to make pretty or not so pretty pictures with.erm, also knives, blood, snakes, scars, clowns, tattoos, masks, bears, hooks through flesh, stitches in skin, hearts, lips, tongues and thighs.notable and arbitrary dislikes are "hairdos" and homophobia but everything i loathe stems from patriarchal capitalism.

I'd like to meet:

dreamers, schemers, fighters. adbusting billboard-liberators. herstorians. artists. anarcha/eco/rad fems. people who know it should be better than this. people who know it can be better than this.

Music:

riot-grrl, clowncore, heavy metal, psyche-folk, death metal, desert blues, big band... lyrical content is important. i prefer to support artists who prove themselves to be socially and politically aware. that said, making me drool or "throw elbows", or both, are the likes of cocorosie, bikini kill, m.i.a, down's 'nola', devendra, yashila, vetiver, chan marshall, x-ray spex.

Movies:

waking life, a scanner darkly, fast food nation, a nightmare before christmas, frida, secretary, angel-a, fur, american history x, the elephant man, fear and loathing in las vegas, dead man, edward scissorhands. documentary 'born into brothels'.

Books:

'FEMINISM IS FOR EVERYBODY' by bell hooks *read it!* ... greer's 'the female eunuch', wolf's 'the beauty myth', levy's 'female chauvinist pigs'. always drooling over camille rose garcia's 'the saddest place on earth'. kate millet. levine's 'not buying it', showalter's 'the female malady', dworkin's 'life and death'.

Heroes:

Everyone at Reclaim the Night 2007! Mary Wollstonecraft. Sojourner Truth. Rosa Parks. Kathleen Hanna- who said "I don't need to convince men that feminism is important, that just isn't a goal of mine. I can't even have that conversation, of whether or not it's important, because if someone asks me that they're my mortal enemy and I don't want to have a conversation with them until they grow-up."
