Like a band we are born two years ago (2004). However, from the beginning the idea was form a solid proyect, but with two members it was impossible to be done on the matter. The period before the birth of this one, it served to draw the directives to which it was tried to do in the future. For that reason, in this stage many bases were created, that with running of the time they were transformed into our songs.
The founders of Leuku, (that in that time it was call Caleuche) were Bauda and Parton in guitars, conforming the base for the composition of our subjects and general concept. After a time, it is gotten up in the percussion Luis Arratia, becoming transforming therefore the project into band. With the entry of Kroghdal in bass, and recently “Z†in the voices, Leuku started to work in their first EP “Ngenâ€, that it consists of 4 themes, those that will be published in Split whit the name of “m a r e s†together with the project Bauda, under the label Tyrannus Records in the month of January of 2007.
The main idea of Leuku, it responds to the interest to investigate concepts and thematic of our southern nature complementarily tie to our personal experiences, that one is reflected in the permanent dialogue between acoustic and electrical guitars, added to a very own rythmical work, whose result show in a very particular music, whit a great variety of shades and atmospheres
