"Music is just like love – you can’t describe it, you gotta feel it! And how does it feel – the music of four friends from Brandenburg? In general: emotional; in detail: sentimentally, concrete and impulsive; in short: authentic!
The mutability in Susanne Peter’s voice and the striking musical positiveness of Johannes Krause, the guitarist, of Sascha Bärtich, the bassist, and of the drummer Enrico Werner gives their melodies the pecular and very personal note.
Tintinnabulation convince, they want to move, they want all that, every single musician wishes: This suspenseful smile in the listeners’ face feeling the huge excitement before the band’s first tones start to sound! However, the four musicians don’t have that “All-or-nothing-attitude†which is very acclaimed these times, or those ingratiated pop-easthetics. They rather follow certain remains of “Adult Oriented Rock†from overseas.
With their self-produced longplayer “Hello†Tintinnabulation didn’t just acquire a piece of independence but also gained experience and professionalism.â€
Reviews
They DO have a certain “Leipziger-rootageâ€. The Moritzbastei in Leipzig is even the place where they celebrated their album release. At least they have been playing together for more than ten years now and they have developed a special pressurized sound. It transfers the energetic feeling of their concerts straight into their studio productions. The songs are pretty much go-with-the-flow like but still differ from one another. With the amazing guitars -just in the right moment- and some ballad-like flair “Hello†is made an, at least, remarkable album. Tintinnabulation’s treasure they can justly brag about and show off with is, of course, the singer Susanne’s voice. It really is impressively voluminous with a great variety, maybe sometimes even a little too artistic. Still, Tintinnabulation have raised the bar for Crossover pretty much to the max.
Kreutzer, Das Leipziger Stadtmagazin, August 2006
Even though the name of this band is not yet known to a wide and anyway hard to reach audience we still enjoy having them here time after time. For a few simple reasons. Tintinnabulation make heart-touching music. They are good. They rock even if they are performing one of their smoother creations.
They have grown up over the years. The singer Susanne Peter has got a voice range which can easily compete with the ones of Sandra Nasic and Dolores O'Riodan.
For all these reasons, Tintinnabulation are deserving their 15 minutes fame. At least.
