Half-being, half-machine, Earth-bound from a far away universe, mixing his crystal-clear yet powerful voice with his unique sax sounds together carried by a very Dancefloor Electro sound, over time, Tiborg has found the perfect alchemy between spellbinding melodies and pumpy rhythms.
Largely influenced during his childhood by Depeche Mode, FGTH, Kon Kan, Jean-Michel Jarre or Vangelis, Tiborg learns early-on how to master instruments like the piano, the drums and the saxophone. He also takes on a particular interest in singing and at age 15 concretizes this passion by taking classes in both jazz and operatic vocal techniques, earning a Diploma at 19 from the Conservatoire of Music.
“X-Cape” or “New Generation” are among Tiborg’s first compositions which are noticed and aired on several radio broadcasts like “Club 30” on Europe 2. A few months later, his Astro project with a remix of Queen’s “The Show Must Go On” reaches the 10th place of the Yacast Club rating system.
In 2000, Tiborg performs at the “Lake Parade” in Geneva for 2 consecutive years, on the NRJ float, sharing the stage first with Superfunk, and then, in 2001 with DJ Paulette and DJ Nico Ortiz for over 10 hours in front of 300 000 people! A unique experience which will serve to seal Tiborg’s Electro Touch for his compositions to come.
During that time, Tiborg goes to meet his public in order to refine his musical universe and thus does almost 60 gigs in Clubs or at private events in France, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Great Britain and in Russia. In 2006, Tiborg also performs with the band Delected at the SIEL 2007 in Paris.
2008 forecasts an exciting year for Tiborg: After working on Alizée’s “Mademoiselle Juliette” and “Fifty-Sixty” late last year and a successful participation –3rd place- at the Mika Remix Contest organized by the DJ Buzz last November, Tiborg, inspired by Will.i.am’s “Get your Money” tries his luck again for a remix “à la Tiborg”. This time is the right one: not only does he win –meaning he is chosen by Will.i.am himself- but Interscope buys his remix for its worldwide distribution on the Deluxe Edition of Will.i.am’s upcoming solo album!
Unlike cyborgs, Tiborg is far from being insensitive to feelings, quite on the contrary. This generous and handsome young man advocates love and voices it out-loud in his upcoming single “If U Wanna Be Loved”.
