About Me

Hi. I grew up in Cave Spring, GA, went to art school in Atlanta, and then moved to New York City, where I still live. Been in lots of bands over the years -- working backwards: Two Mule Team (current “new group” with husband Rick Brown), a duo with Angel Dean, playing bass with The Scene Is Now, a couple of solo records, a duo record with Rick (before we officially named ourselves Two Mule Team), Run On, Peach Cobbler, The Shams, The Biggest Square Thing, Fish & Roses, Last Roundup & Vietnam. I always thought that long term band would be such a great thing, but just hasn’t worked out that way, although Angel was in Last Roundup (early 80’s), and I’ve been playing with Rick over twenty years.
Over the past couple of years Rick, JD Foster and I combined stuff and started a small project studio, The Mule Yard. It’s mostly for us, but it has given me the opportunity to produce a couple of records I’m very proud of…Megan Reilly’s Let Your Ghost Go (where we did some overdubs and pre mixing) and PG 6’s Slightly Sorry. Currently, The Scene Is Now is mixing their next CD at “the yard”.
Other current project is writing, performing (and hopefully soon recording) music for an animated film by Emily Hubley, Another Tack. Those Hubleys…check out Emily’s films if you get a chance, and also the amazing animated films of her parents.
