The Logic of Denial (L.O.D.) were born in Reggio Emilia at the end of 2006 from the ashes of the trashcore-death metal band Collapse (2003-2006). The wish of destruction and renewal of Alle, Matt and Dave drove them to explore the solutions offered by death metal in a deeply personal way.
The first result is Art of Psycophagy, a promotional album which has met the favour of a number of webzines and whose name is also that of their first tour (Tour of Psychophagy), during which they were bringing their music in many parts of Northern Italy, including Como, Brescia, Reggio Emilia, Bologna and Verona - where they performed in front of more than 300 metal heads in a devastating final concert.
Immediately after their lucky tour, the band returned to the studios in order to record the tracks composed during the previous year. The result is the second promo Spirals of Downfall, an extremely personal journey through musical extremism, which exploits a more accurate sound research and a renewed violence of expression. In this album they highlight all the components of their sound, a mix of old-school death metal and modernist trend, where aggressiveness is a fundamental basis, but not the only one. Many times the melody prevails and the band let the groove to be heard, even though they never surrender to creeping expected temptations nor they exceed the limits of the purest extreme metal.
