About Me

I'm just as comfortable in a 5 star hotel & dining as I am roughing it in remote places surrounded with the raw essentials and beauty of life. I'm not a laugh out loud girl, but that doesn't mean I'm not laughing. My laugh tends to be more of a smile and glow on the inside. I tend to be pretty "even" and graceful even under extreme stress & pressure. I'm exceptionally resourceful and adaptable. I work hard and play equally as hard...but have a hard time mixing the two.

My Interests

Traveling to distant lands, meeting and experiencing different people and their various beliefs and ways of living, yoga, flamenco, cooking, meditation, art-creating and appreciating, photograpy, scuba diving, gardening, animals, nature, touching another human being, people watching, maps, foreign languages, breathing in and out.

I'd like to meet:

People who...aren't afraid of being themselves... ...respect others and life...are willing to take risks even if that means being uncomfortable or scared...are living their dreams and enjoying life...are kind and gracious... And on the less serious side, just some interesting characters who can put a smile on my face. : )
If you pay attention to dots appearing around SE Asia, that's probably me! Just play connect the dots.

Music:

Flamenco, Brazilian, Cuban, Middle Eastern, Classic Rock, Indie, Lounge, Latin Jazz, Dance 70s-current - Pink Martini, Lebrijano, Babel Gilberto, Buena Vista Social Club, Kinky, Morphine, Cowboy Junkies, Prince, Coldplay, Led Zepplin, Janis Joplin, Rolling Stones, Peter Gabriel, Macy Gray, Alabina, Paco de Lucia, Portishead

Movies:

Love movies...usually the ones that are more than 2 1/2 hours. Harry Potter, Babel, Schindler's List, Monsters Inc, Casino, Silence of the Lambs, Fried Green Tomatoes, Little Miss Sunshine, The Color Purple

Television:

When I had a TV I could be caught watching Grey's Anatomy, Amazing Race, Survivor, CSI Las Vegas and The Discovery Channel. But honestly, I haven't watched TV since 2006, so I couldn't tell you what was even on these days.
