I moved to Austin this past fall for graduate school at UT and am looking to meet new people. I am a teaching assistant for an undergraduate psychology class, and I spend a lot of time working in our research lab on campus. I also have a part-time job as a nanny. My hobbies are photography and horseback riding, and I love traveling but haven't been to a whole lot of places - yet! I did recently go to Japan, however, and that was awesome - I'll be glad to tell you all about it! I am a big Auburn fan (War Eagle!) and a Texas fan since that's my school now, but the only sport I really care about is football.
As for my personality, according to one of the most in-depth tests available now, I have the highly unusual (though I prefer to say unique) dramatic-conscientious profile. Apparently, many people have one or the other of these traits, but not both. But it does accurately describe me. So, I'm responsible, mature, neat, honest, hard-working, independent, and all that good stuff, but I'm also very creative, and I love to have fun. Just don't confuse the "dramatic" with being a drama queen - I'm definitely not that. I'm pretty laid back about most things, and I think I have a pretty good sense of humor (and enjoy others who do as well).
I never thought I would join one of these websites, but I've been in Austin for a while and haven't met very many people, so I decided I better do something. All of my friends and family are back in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and other far-away places. It seems that in grad school I have classes with the same few people every semester, and I don't have any chances to make friends at work, either. I am pretty busy, but it would be nice to have someone to hang out with - somehow I always make time for fun! I love going to concerts and music shows (I've really gotten into the Texas country stuff), going out to eat, taking road trips, going to football games, or anything else that sounds like a good time.
