About Me

I was born in Naples Italy on September 1954.

At 10 years old i begin first studing piano and for fun playing drums. With my brother Enzo we formed the first band called " Gli Amici " having many shows for the School entertainment activities. Since those days we spent our free time making music and having fun growing day by day. Than I met Rosario Jermano at 11 years old that I replaced at the drums.Today Rosario is one of the most importat percussion player we have in Italy.

My second band was the Omicron where i played keyboards interpreting Deep Purple, Cream, Chicago, Traffic, Taste,Colosseum, Ten Years After, Led Zeppelin and Beatles covers in different live clubs in Naples.

So I lived my youth changing instruments alternating drums,keyboards,saxophone,flute and finally percussions.

At 16 years old i formed a new band called " New Jet " with Pino Daniele with whom i spent the best days of my life and when i finished my studies at the High School I started to work for my family Company.

I stopped to make music but i never stopped hearing it increasing my knowledge in the musical field. But i felt the need to transmit my emotions so I decided to work first as a speaker in the radio and after as DJ in many Discoteque. So I spent my youth improving and expanding my musical experience until become Art Director for many Live Music Clubs in Naples planning reviews of Blues and Jazz music. Today I'm working for the pubblic relation of a Blues Guitar player Gennaro Porcelli and as Graphic Artworker of CD's booklets for many musicians including a famous Italian Jazz Guitar player Antonio Onorato for which I realized the last two CD's booklets and for an Italian talented piano player Gianluca Attanasio.... But despite everything not ever abandonment my first and important job I inherited from my father that is Marketing & Communications Director for my Company Gino Giglio Generation SpA - www.gigliospa.com - that I run with my two sons Junior and Raf....

No less important then is my philosophy of life that is Think Positive - The Future is today and finally to be kind, generous and tolerant if you want to reach the Happiness....

My Interests

Talk about me in general is what inspires me more. I have a vision of life that call extraordinarily positive. Dream continuously eyes open .. And this helps me a lot to live my days with extreme determination. We all dream, and when we do sweet dreams we would not end up ever, but when you sleep and dream those dreams unfortunately end always in the most beautiful part of them and when you wake up .. you never remember anything .... But if you dream eyes open your dreams never end..... and you can modify them as you like as you wish.. over and over .....try it..

I'd like to meet:

Myself..... when I will be 80 years old .. If I'll arrive .... to listen to the stories of his life

Music:

Music is my life ..not only listening to a particular genre, but I accompany my moods with the music suits. Making the morning shower i turn on the radio listening the today's hits. My favorites radio station listening in the car are Virgin Radio, Radio Montecarlo and Radio Capital. In my office I'm always connected with an intenet radio called Live365 where i can select the music i feel to listen to. Most of time i select Ispiration Music or Quite moments.. it depends by my mood. When i'm really happy i change genre with Salsa and Latin Jazz music. When i live my creative moments i need to set 70's and 80's station. On every occasion I seek the most suitable substrate... selected : Smooth Jazz, Reggae, Electric and Acoustic Blues, Classical Music, Solo Piano, Pat Guitar... at any time the right music. What life would be without music? I also express a deep sense of respect for anyone who makes music. Who does music, whatever conveys emotions. And who transmit emotions is an artist and must be respected.
Photographers, video reporters, painters, sculptors, architects, musicians, composers, designers, poets, writers, directors, actors .. are all sources of emotions and deserve all our respect...

Movies:

The films that excited me most were all directed by Martin Scorzese. Then particularly love: Paris Texas and Clockwork Orange and lately I am following with diligence and passion the television series Prison Break. Finally, I'm a lover of Toto' .. in my humble opinion the greatest comic actor who, together with the great Groucho Marx, have invented to ways to get around the world.

Television:

My favourite TV channel are : National Geographic and Discovery Channel because I am fond of documentaries on nature and travels and I do not lose any episode of Lost , Prison Break and Heroes... and now i'm starting to watch Planet Heart from BBC Television

Books:

I am currently reading the book "The Art of Happiness", which collects a variety of experiences during several seminars held by His Holiness the 14 ° Dalai Lama. I have no preferences for reading but I read what strikes me immediately. I caught that look of the book by its cover and the message that sends me the title. I have no preferences then neither authors nor publishers, but only by the message that the author wishes to convey with the title

Heroes:

I consider heroes those who have left an indelible mark in my life. Some of these are: Groucho Marx, Eric Clapton, Jimmi Page, 14th His Holiness Dalai Lama, Al Pacino, Sophia Loren, Jimi Hendrix, and Thomas Alva Edison that was an American inventor and businessman who developed many devices that greatly influenced life around the world, including the phonograph and a long lasting light bulb..
