Everything just seems so stale right now. People, the world, and life in general. I envy those who are happy and still have a bright outlook on life. I know there can be good people and fun things to do, but it's still all in the shadow of what is really going on. There nothing but death war and poverty everywhere. People becoming more and more hateful and intolerant. The economy is going to hell with a quickness. There just doesn't seem to be any reason for celebration anymore. Being partially empathic sucks. I drown in everyone else's pain.
Something I learned recently is that if you go through your day thinking people hate or dislike you they probably will come off that way, but if you see everyone as potentially decent, then that's what you get. Even if you know that someone dislikes you, if your just polite to them everyday eventually their guard is let down and they will be polite in return. It's not easy, but I changed my work enviorment around doing this. Makes the job worth going to each day.
People may still get crabby, but at least its not aimed at me as often.
