About Me
I feel tremendously lucky. I was born in 1967 in Italy, a place where there were no wars or hunger, in a family that loved me. They all were musicians, so I started very soon singin', playin' drums and a toy piano. I grew up listening, playin' over and tryin' to understand the music of The Chicago, Otis Redding, Santana, Blood Sweat & Tears, Jean-Michel Jarre, Supertramp, The Police, Toto, Yes, PFM, Electric Band, Phil Collins and many many others... My pa and my grandpa have made great sacrifices to buy me the first piano, and send me at private music lessons. Yes, I feel tremendously lucky. My youth was a mixture of Classical, Rock, Pop, computer music experiments, live dance music and the first steps with my great passion: the multitrack recording. I was dreaming a lot, and I was continuously sketching ideas, technical setups and wishlists in a block notes. And what I wrote down, day by day became reality. At 19 I started to work as Pro Arranger/Engineer in my first Recording Studio in Turin, then I met Emanuele Ruffinengo, the man who raised me up in the Music Recording. With him I move an important step forward, arranging and producing a lot of records and discovering and trying to develop "my" kind of Pop music, passing through stylistic cross-overs with Classical, Salsa or Flamenco, writing my actually best songs and getting a Latin Grammy Nomination in 2001 as Producer and Engineer for the record "Estrella Guia" for the Brazilian artist Alexandre Pires. Everyday I sketched something in my block note: something became a song, something a project, something is now a piece of my setup... I actually work with a lot of great artists, musicians and engineers. With these friends I constantly try to create good music and feed the spirit, learning something and giving something everyday. I'm involved in italian, spanish and american discographic projects, and thanks to the Internet I don't have to stay too much away from home and my spouse... Today, I can live and survive as a musician, there's nothing better for me, and I feel tremendously lucky. But I never forget to sketch in a pad daily my wishes for the future...
