The Dave Richardson Band grew out of a collaboration between Cape Cod area blues guitar player, Dave Richardson and soul/blues bass veteran Wes James. This partnership began in 2003 as the two began hosting a blues jam. Dave's love of blues guitar inflected with elements of funk and soul fit perfectly with Wes James' natural soulful groove and velvet voice. Dave and Wes have played in many configurations and bands including The SoulCats and Big Daddy and the Accelerators. The current line up for the Dave Richardson Band includes percussion prodigy Chris Santos who is also an essential member of Ryan Fardy's Shades of Blue. Dave met Chris in 2000 hosting yet another blues jam when Chris was still in high school. Dave has personally witnessed his development into one on the most sought after drummers in the Boston area. They say that the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. This could not be more true for this band as each member adds to the natural chemistry that makes this band a perfect synthesis of soul, energy, and groove.
