I have a great interest in art and the arts. I love dance! If there is anything that involves dance or dance history, I gobble it up! I am the same way with the visual arts. My taste varies here. I love classical music and ballet scores. I also love the music of Olivia Newton-John and the Carpenters. I absolutely revere Linda Ronstadt and Gladys Knight! The rest of my taste is a motley crue of Ann- Margret, 1960's lounge music and early Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, or Patsy Cline stuff. I am sure I am missing something but this is it for now. Whew! I guess I am a bit of a freak. Here are just three of my favorite albums. The XANADU soundtrack and anytime is a good time for the fabulous Ann- Margret! Olivia's album "Totally Hot" is just that! Love it!
I love independent films. It seems to me that those are the films where the story or dialogue is focused on. The films of Pedro Almodovar come to mind here. I also love colorful and outrageous movies. The loud, colorful musicals of the 1950's and 1960's really send me! I adore the early films of Ann- Margret and John Waters movies are the epitome of high camp! Have you seen "Female Trouble" or "Polyester"? I dare you to find finer examples!
