Shows I'm obsessed with... Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money, Chuck, Gossip Girl, Big Bang Theory, America's Most Smartest Model, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Grey's Anatomy, Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, Lost, Friday Night Lights, The Office, Studio 60, How I Met Your Mother, Veronica Mars, Supernatural, Degrassi, Doctor Who, Brothers & Sisters, America's Next Top Model, American Idol, SYTYCD, Dexter, The L Word, Extras, Entourage, Project Runway and more.
Hell, I even give random stuff away, do some interviews and in general just try to pass on as much TV info and commentary as possible.
Did I mention that I have a TV Podcast with my friend Kathie from Give Me My Remote? We crack ourselves up as we dish TV so you should check that out as well. You can even subscribe on iTunes!
PERSONAL INFORMATION:
I'm 34 and I've officially been vegetarian or vegan longer than I was a meat eater. That's amazing to me! Pat myself on the back...Still straight-edge! At times I feel like a loser because I'm not vegan any longer. I spent almost a decade being vegan and that is a great accomplishment in my eyes. I am still very committed to animal rights and activism. It's still not beyond me to clock an old bitch in a fur coat or kill her child in retaliation. Kidding. Straight-Edge is still a huge part of who I am and how I view the world. It's hands down the most important belief I have in life and a conviction I am proud to display and promote.
If anyone wonders how I got to Boston... I moved to Boston for Film school in '97. I was living in North Carolina for a while before that - which I loved. I met some amazing people and it was great to become part of the sXe scene down there as well. I moved to NC after a particularly harsh blizzard of a winter while living in Buffalo. Some might say I was stalking Snapcase and the beauty that be Bob Whiteside while working at Kinko's (like every self respecting early 90's hardcore kid) but I say I was accepted to school, moved, and then decided to not go. Originally I'm from Syracuse where I am sure I had a fun if not semi-incriminating past.
I'm one of the Managing Directors of The Independent Film Festival of Boston (entering our 6th year). This past year we had about 30,000 people view our year long labor of love and pain. It's incredibly fun and sick with the hard work. Hopefully this year we'll continue to grow. Our festival runs April 23-29, 2008.
Check out our monthly screening series in the off months. This year we've had early previews of Margot at the Wedding, No Country For Old Men, Before The Devil Knows You're Dead, Manda Bala, Rocket Science, Rescue Dawn and more.
For the past few years I've been a non-profit fundraising fool. I've participated in multiple long distance AIDS Rides and have helped raise over $14,000 for local and national AIDS organizations. I've volunteered and organized events to help raise not only money but awareness for this cause. 2008 I'll be riding (once again) from Gettysburg to NYC. If you'd like to sponsor me, let me know. I'll have a link up soon to sponsor my gay ass!
