WE ARE THE EMERGENCY leapt onto the stage in mid 2007 playing a frantic style of rock similar to that of bands like UNDEROATH and ALEXISONFIRE. Mix that with the melodic sounds and vocal diversity of acts such as EMERY and ANBERLIN, and you get an idea of the sound that has been creating a stir among punters, and their peers around Perth ever since.
In the short time since the bands first show, WE ARE THE EMERGENCY have already shared the stage with an impressive number of International bands. This includes the 2007 TASTE OF CHAOS Festival alongside the likes of: THE USED, RISE AGAINST, AIDEN, DROP DEAD GORGEOUS, GALLOWS and THE BLED, as well as established Australian acts such as THE HOT LIES, CARPATHIAN, THE AMITY AFFLICTION, THE RIVALRY, WISH FOR WINGS, ELORA DANAN and ANIME FIRE.
2008 is shaping up to be a big year for the band with plans to head to the United States mid-year to record their debut EP with producer Kris Crummet(DROP DEAD GORGEOUS, DANCE GAVIN DANCE, CLOSURE IN MOSCOW).
