Life is sweet, taste it!

About Me

I'm female. I love being a woman. I realize guys probably love being male, but there are just a few perks to being a woman. We have the right to be emotional and show it. Most of us aren't afraid to show it. I like to think that I'm a straight forward person. I say it like I see it. If you're doing something really stupid, and know you are, but tell me anyway, expect me to tell you it's stupid. If I'm proud of you, I say it over and over! If I'm attracted to you, I will find the time to tell you if I think it's mutual. If not, no worries.I'm a writer, my first book "Running From Bermuda" was released May 29th, 2006. I'm dedicated to my craft and always honing it. Most everything inspires me. I write poetry as well, but more as a personal journal than for publication. What else? Oh, I have a tendency to stick my foot in my mouth. It makes for good times and lots of laughs. I wouldn't change that about myself. I have an awesome family whom I'm very close to. I also have two beautiful pups named Ruby and Bear and two kittens, Jack and Feisty. They are my substitute children for now. I dote on them, because they deserves it. I am very passionate about fighting for those who can't fight for themselves. If I see a cause, I'll take it up whole heartedly.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4

My Interests

Writing is a passion for me. It liberates me. I've always loved writing and always will. If anyone treasures the power of the written word as much as I do, drop me a line. I am also an animal lover. I've been known to bring home strays that needed love and nurturing. I have a big heart and give all that I am to my animal children. These are my babies. Ruby who is a year and a half and Bear who is only five months. Holly is my doggy niece. I will get my other doggy nieces up soon!

I'd like to meet:

I just want to meet open minded people, with a good sense of humor. I'm not looking to get into a serious relationship or anything like that. Just fun people to flirt, laugh, and chat with. If you think you're one of the people I'd like to meet then by all means click the add button, but send a little note too. Let me know you're for real and not just another person who is trying to rack up the numbers on their buddy list. Thanks!

Music:

I'm a country girl at heart. I can relate to country music, and I can understand the words! I think there are songs to describe every stage of our lives. Here are a few of mine: Spilled Perfume by Pam Tillis describes losing my virginity There Is No Arizona by Jamie O'Neal describes what I went through with the man I thought was my one and only. The River and The Highway by Tanya Tucker is how I feel about love right now. You'll see most of these are by women, but that's because I relate well to women. Kenny Chesney's song "Young" reminds me of growing up with my brothers.

Movies:

I love movies. I'm a fan of romantic comedies, coming of age stories and anything that actually has a point. I have so many favorite movies, it's not easy to list them all. I will do my best though. Braveheart, Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken, My Girl, 8 Below, Hotel Rawanda, Fried Green Tomatoes, Under the Tuscan Sun, Man On Fire, Brother Bear, and Steel Magnolias. That's just a few. Movies I can't stand would be just about anything with Will Ferrel in it, Crash, End of the Spear, and movies that are all about cussing. I just think it takes more talent to write a script that doesn't have every other word be F***. I'm also a Disney Animated freak. I love the Disney animations. I haven't missed any of their theater releases since The Little Mermaid.

Television:

I'm cheesy when it comes to T.V. Shows I actually love would be M*A*S*H, The Nanny, Will & Grace and The Golden Girls. I'm also very fond of the Disney Channel and Animal Planet.

Books:

I love books. Absolutely adore them. My latest kick has been a series by Janet Evanovich about a young woman turned bounty hunter named Stephanie Plum. The books are hilarious. Check them out! The first one is called "One For The Money".

Heroes:

Where to begin? My father is one of my biggest heroes, he's done heroic things. Saved lives, fought in Vietnam, married my mother and raised a daughter that wasn't his by blood. Then there are my brothers, who of course were big heroes throughout my childhood. I think one of my biggest heroes isn't so much a hero because she went out and took a bullet or anything (which she didn't) but she's my hero because she inspired me to write from a very young age, and she made me believe that just because your body gets old doesn't mean you have to get old. She was my Aunt Ruth, a more beautiful person I have never met. And last but not least, the soldiers that are fighting for the American beliefs and safety against terrorism. They are my heroes.
