THE DENVER MIX
The ANNEX CD is complete and waiting to be sent off for mastering. Turned out great and cannot wait to see what Nathan James in New York does to it with his magic touch. The band has been patiently waiting for this release and I think that the wait was well worth it. Should be out son, o stay tuned.
Currrently I am mixing a tune for a competition with Charles Dye and crew from the WOMB mixing forum. There are 78 engineers mixing a tune from a band called Aces High: out of New Zealand. Though it is a competition it is really to help aid new engineers with techniques and ways to better tailor and create a mix. The processes and choices made are all part of the thing. The song is up as the first one on my player. So far I am happy with it and make tweek a few parts here and there in the next few days.

TBR STUDIO IS NO MORE, but the MIXING is better than ever..
YEs, that's right, the "Studio" is no more as I recently moved from D.C. to Denver. I am now freelance mixing and planning to work with a few local studios to track and then mix back in my home studio that I have setup in the city. Tracking is kinda pointless out of the new place, but I have setup a pretty sweet mix room. If you have tracks that need mixed, send me a message and I will send you a format for mixing that I prefer and rates. All is mixed on a Pro Tools setup using API and other various analog gear for summing. Soon I will have a HD 3/API DSM setup for mixing. Right now things work and all that you hear on this page was mixed by myself in my old studio. New stuff will be here soon enough.
Chris Andrews, Owner/Engineer of TBR Studio has been in and out of the music scene since age 15 (1990) when he started playing clubs in Cleveland, Ohio with a band called "The Others." Playing the scene with the likes of "Coinmonster," "The Unknown," and other local bands of the time, he was exposed to the music and it stuck. Moving on from "The Others," Chris joined up with a whacked out funk, meets god knows what band called "A Lesser Squid." With the backing vocals of Chris Neil, Drummer Jepsen Staral, and Bassist Scott Walker, "A Lesser Squid" took to the Cleveland music scene with a frenzy. Playing shows almost weekly, the then High School band (seniors at the time) had a huge following across the Cleveland music community. " A Lesser Squid" was able to open for such acts as Tool, The Mighty, Mighty Bosstones, Murphy's Law, Shootyz Groove, Wax, and Washington D.C.'s finest, Lucy Brown. In late 1993 the band decided to go their separate ways, but still try to keep in contact.
