Emmanuel Davies A.K.A Rude was born in north west London England to Jamaican parents although exposed to many styles of music being brought up in a multi cultural city he mainly listened to reggae the native music of his Jamaican parents in his early teens he took on a extreme love for hip hop music and a fascination for dub music and the way Jamaican studio engineers could mix and enhance a track by playing with the instrumentation and vocals aided by the outboard and mixing board he also followed the sound system culture in England and Jamaica way before hip hop was firmly established in the USA in those days the sound systems carried live rappers (called toasters in them days?) on microphones doing their thing over instrumental versions. Rude productions is the brain child of Emmanuel (Rude) Davies first established in 1994 it has gone through many changes producing numerous tracks of music in many genres. Hip Hop, Reggae, Dancehall, House RnB, the first record label Rude Records was founded in 1994 and brought out Jungle, Reggae and Hip Hop in 2000 the second label Mun Mun International was founded specialising in mainly reggae with a few dancehall releases, Mun Mun International also started doing small scale distribution of CDs and vinyl. Recently Rude has started a new label called Rude Groove that specialises in dance music, Rude productions as a production company has produced tracks for Spanner Banner + Sean Paul, Lukie D, Gregory Isaacs, Michael Rose, Sparky, Anthony Que and has also remixed for several artist (hip hop + dance) Rude productions is also a publishing company, publishing at present all of its works. And for the record Emmanuel (Rude) Davies is also a song writer/vocalist/dj in his own right .Rudes influences are Sugar Minott, General Echoe, king tubby, Scientist, Paul Simon, Frankie Beverley, Wu Tang Clan, Betty Wright, Phil Collins, Burning Spear, Dennis Brown, Black Uhuru, Gregory Isaacs, Culture, Luther Vandross, Bob Marley, Prince Jammy, Beenie Man, Shabba Ranks, Bounty Killer, Gladys Knight, John Lennon, Chaka Khan, Dougie fresh + Slick Rick, KRS1, LL Cool J, Israel Vibration, Annie Lennox, Fat Man Rhythm Section, Emperor Selasie I, Marcus Garvey and to many more to mention from back when till today? + REGGAE, DUB, SOUL, DANCEHALL, RnB, JAZZ, RAP, POP, and nuff styles cause him versatile.
