I'm Randy Hayes, I've played music most all my life.At 56 years of age, I decided to open a recording studio mainly to record a CD to hand down to my children and grand children.It's 24 track Digital hard drive system with Analogue mixer and good outboard gear such as Focusrite,Alesis,Yamaha,Alto,Antares ,Fostex,Mackie and more.I rarely do anything on PC except a little scrubbing and good fade outs although I have many DAW programs.All the demo tracks on myspace was done here in the Digital Basement Studio.That was 6 years ago and I have been so busy recording other artists, mine went on the back burner.I've played everything from bluegrass to heavy metal likeing some of all of it. I was on the road with JD Crowe & the New South for 4 years when I met the late great Keith Whitley whom I formed a great friendship and played in his band for 8 years until his untimely death in 1989,it was a great loss.This CD consists of cover tunes I've grown to love over the years, And one song me and my neighbor and old band guitar player wrote when we were in our teens (Cry Cry Over You) .Since I can't write songs I can produce.I tried to keep them original because it's hard to re-do a great song when it's been sung by the original artist. Although not finished yet I hope you can get an idea of what I'm about. I played almost every instrument and sang all the harmony vocals. My son Shaun is doing most of the drum tracks with the exception of a couple.My brother also played some drum tracks and Scott Wilson filled in on bass for several tunes.
