About Me

Cut Above Records comprises of a group of talented and passionate musicians based in or around Bournemouth on the South Coast of England. They have been producing music together for around four years and have developed their own style of hip-hop along with a high level of professionalism.The company was originally established by three members, Jabba Tha Kut, Dyversity and Suicyde. They have since been joined by Magishan and Suicyde’s apprentice Dubar.The intention of the company was to write, record and produce a new sound, drawing on modern day hip-hop and combining with all types of music. Two recording studio’s have been built and collaborative tracks were recorded.These were given their first plays within a club situation at the Spin night hosted by Jabba Tha Kut, and on Radio 1..s sister station 1 Xtra. Since the beginning the members have always been keen to reach new audiences in person. They have performed at several high profile shows,supporting acts such as Jehst, People Under the Stairs, Giant Panda, Scratch Perverts, Dubbledge, Micall Parknsun and Foreign Beggars.
