About Me

Severin is one of the most talked about up-and-coming artists on the dance scene at the moment. Over the past year he has released various tracks and remixes, which have received world wide recognition and praise. But Severin is anything but a newcomer on the scene: he has been spinning the decks since 1998, he is a resident DJ in the Houston club scene and other dance events. The Houstonian native left behind his former identity as part of the elite Modeling Industry and his Bachelor degree in Political Science, trading it for a place behind the turntables of the hottest venues in the Space City. After just a few years on the scene, he quickly discovered his niche within dance music and that is where he has remained since. It was years later however, when Severin began to produce his own tracks.Severin started out his quest into the Houston dance scene nine years ago. At that time he was modeling for Hugo Boss, Armani, Calvin Klein and Saks Fifth Avenue. His passion to pursue superstardom behind the wheels of steel grew stronger and strong as he developed a hunger to share his music with the masses. Influenced by such top talents as Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Paul Oakenfold, Severin soon turned his energies full time to DJing, playing a definitive mix of Electronic Dance Music – getting guest spots at area clubs. Crowds noticed his ability to mix different musical styles seamlessly, and his popularity quickly increased.Area promoters now took note to Severin’s ability to rock the house and began to book him as their headlining act. His fan base was growing rapidly: it was time for Severin to look outside the confines of the DJ Booth and start devoting more time to his own original productions. By this time he had given up his regular “day job” to devote 100% of his time in the highly competitive world of DJ Performing and making dance music; his two life long passions. Severin first entered a recording studio in early 2006 to produce what is now considered an anthem in the Houston club scene entitled, “Sundae Fundae”. Because Sunday is considered one of the most popular nights to go out in Houston, Severin’s song became an anthem for all Sunday parties both during the day and at night. In the first two months of its release, this sought-after track was downloaded well over 1,000 times alone. His long journey really had begun and the opportunities were presented more than ever. More importantly he was enjoying what he was doing, gaining growing confidence in his own DJ talent and abilities. It was very noticeable as his audiences convinced him of that. He was rapidly maturing as an artist, too - and it clearly showed in his work.As a remixer and producer, Severin caught the attention of world class DJ / Producer / Remixer, DJ Hardware, Owner of North America’s Largest label group: Pure Music. With his second production, ”Blue Horizon” which displayed a unique blend of progressive trance tinged with a rock alternative feel and soaring vocals from LeAnn Rushing, Hardware signed up the young producer to his Pure Music Recordings imprint. Released in June 2007 with a remix from Florida Based Producer Westfield, “Blue Horizon” launched with roaring success, getting major plays from Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold and radio Stations across Europe. Following the success of his single, Severin did a slough of remixes including the massive selling single by Hardware entitled “Be Good To Me” and unofficial remix of the classic dance track “New York” by Micro Chip League which has been blown the roof off each time its played. Severin has earned his place as a well-respected pioneer of Houston’s Dance scene combining brilliant trance with powerful electro house as he layers his sounds, building the realms of a musical journey that culminates into a total mind and body meltdown!
