The Battle of Los Angeles- RATM Tribute

New York's Premier RATM Tribute Band

About Me

Myspace Contact Tables
The Battle of Los Angeles formed in October of 2006. In the beginning, there was just a great respect and admiration for Rage Against the Machine, but this tribute band knows that there is so much more than that now. Rage Against the Machine redefined the way music and politics could be interlaced while fusing together hard-hitting elements of rock, rap and funk. This band's intention is to provide the listener with the next best experience to seeing a live RATM show. In just one short year of playing together, The Battle of Los Angeles has played to packed houses at venues all across the Northeast. Venues include The Whiskey Bar (Hoboken, NJ), The Lion's Den/Sullivan Hall (NY), Starland Ballroom (NJ), Rams Head Live (Baltimore), Northern Lights (NY), Breakers (West Springfield, MA), Cabaloosa's (NY), Jack Rabbit Slim's (NY), The Memory Motel (NY), The Asylum (Portland, ME), as well as the Garden Grove festival and Tribute Fest 2008 later this year. The masses of people that can be moved by rage's music is testament to how imperative this band's music was, is and will continue to be.
We know that there is nothing like seeing Rage Against the Machine live in concert. This band was fortunate enough to see RATM perform at this summer's Rock the Bells concert. 2008 brings the hope that RATM will release an album this year that has Rage fans all around the world excited as well as The Battle of Los Angeles beacuse we want to learn as much material as possible to provide any Rage fans that come to see us with the most authentic experience possible. With an arsenal of two and a half hours of rage material with more coming, we're sure you'll never see the same set twice.
Tribute bands do just that, they pay tribute to bands that deserve adulation. Who better to pay tribute to this revolutionary band than true fans of the band? Collectively, the band has been to a dozen live Rage Against the Machine shows and studies countless hours of live rage material for accuracy. What better place than here and what better time than now for the return of Rage Against the Machine? We champion the same social causes RATM enlighten us about in their songs and will support and play for any cause that deserves our attention. If you have a cause that needs us to play, please reach out to us. With the current state of affairs (politically and musically) and the fact that we'll soon be pulling levers to decide our fate and listening to the next worthless music clone with no meaningful message, we need the message of Rage to resonate loudly. With sold out dates at Coachella and Rock the Bells last year and international dates booked this year, Rage is back with a vengeance. The Battle of Los Angeles invites you to a live performance to see for yourself the intense effect Rage Against the Machine has had on all of us and hopefully the effect we will have on you. Thank you.
All hell can't stop us now!
