Wednesdays: To keep his clubs fresh, nightlife impresario Sam Nazarian has found that constant reinvention keeps the trendy set hooked. Before its new look and name, the club once known as Shelter was a gothic playground, then a Nordic lounge, a St. Tropez-style resort and a mock construction site.When it first reopened as Privilege, it was decked out with red drapes, black lace and crystal chandeliers. Now, the playground for the young and affluent is all white: white walls, white leather couches, white floors...you get the picture. Even the bartenders are clad in white, from their shirts to their cute sneakers. Now the ever-evolving Privilege has the feel of a Miami beach resort, minus the sand or the sticky air. There's always a special event, be it a celeb-packed movie premiere party or a magazine fete with the cover models in the house. Those who can't get in usually read about the celebrity shenanigans the following week in Us Weekly. —Alexandra Le Tellier Fridays: In the space formerly occupied by the burlesque-themed deep, this club continues its predecessor's boudoir legacy with a spicy decor, dancers in garter belts and a hot crowd that keeps Hollywood and Vine one of the sexiest corners in town.It may be difficult to follow in the footsteps of celebrated Hollywood nightclub deep, but Basque gives its best shot. Favorite elements (the two-way mirror behind the bar, private VIP rooms, the burlesque theme) remain for reminiscing fans, but elegant additions (the sparkly chandeliers, grand entry room, Mediterranean menu, corseted waitresses and roomier dance floor) up the spicy ante. A booty-shakin' mix of hip-hop and rock are blasted during all club nights, and Lindsay Lohan, Ashlee Simpson and Hilary Duff have been known to stop by. —Enid PortuguezSaturdays:Once a supper spot catering to the glitziest of Hollywood's in-crowd, the Florentine Gardens now draws a decidedly younger beautiful bunch.
