MR.'s constant quest for knowledge and understanding has allowed him to develop into an outstanding writer and states that the inspirations and concepts of his lyrics come from “everyday living – seen and heard.” Aside from writing, MR. can freestyle with the best of them. His freestyle flow has caught the attention of some of the music industry’s elite (Pharrell Williams of the Neptunes, Usher, Chili of TLC and Da Brat). He has gained credibility in the streets of VA and Atlanta as a freestyle MC/Lyricist. “When I freestyle…I don’t think about what I am about to say, I just think about the reaction on the people’s faces and that gives me the confidence to snap even harder,” states MR. It is clear that MR.’s lyrical skills have been cultivated through writing and freestyling, but he has also grown as a performer by being the opening act for numerous shows and concerts over the past few years.

Currently, MR. is paying his dues as hype man for Da Brat. He has had the experience of performing in front small clubs to tens of thousands of people. In addition, he has done a streamline of shows across the U.S., opening up for artists such as Outkast, Goodie Mob, Wu Tang Clan, and many more internationally known acts. Knowing these facts, it should go without saying that MR. knows what it takes to move a crowd. He has accompanied Da Brat on 106th & Park, Soul Train, as well as the BET Hip Hop Awards. Each experience that MR. has had, as it relates to performances, has allowed him to develop into the performing rap artist that he is today.

The motivational drive that fuels MR.’s desire to be a part of the Hip-Hop game is his love of the music. As he continues to grow as an artist/performer, he has had the opportunity to collaborate with some of Hip-Hop’s most well known producers who definitely embrace his lyrical rap style. He has worked on projects with NO I.D. (Def Jam Records), Focus (Aftermath/Afocaliptic), Mista Raja (Associ Entertainment), and good friend and FAMU Alum, Needlz of G-Unit Fame (“Piggybank” and “Let Me In”). The chance to work with these producers has allowed MR. to gain knowledge from each of them, which enables him to utilize what he has learned. When asked what he would be able to contribute to the Hip-Hop game at this point and time, MR. states, “I would be bring forth something new…kind of like a breath of fresh air amongst all the pollution.”
