A Casablanca Morocco native, Dj L.I.T (aka Lost in Trance) has been following his passion for electronic music and expanding his talent since the early age of 12. He has mastered the art of DJing and proven his diverse mixing abilities to some of the dance music industry's most critical ears in the Baltimore Music Conference and the Washington DC area. His obsession with electronic dance music started with his summer vacation trip to the U.S. During that period, he was exposed to the dance music through his older brother's tape and CD collections. His inspiration with the style grew deeper as he became more involved with the American rave scene. Some of his early influences in the US included artists such as Dj Keoki, Dara, Utah Saints, Psykosonik, Crystal Method, and BadBoyBill. During the time period in his native home, Dj L.I.T was further exposed to a whole different sound of the European Electronica specially the german dance music with artists such as Westbam, the Members of Mayday, Paul Van Dyk and Dj Quicksilver. By the late 90's, Dj L.I.T had developed a transcultural electronica sound experience that was tested as he joined the M-EDMC (Maryland Electronic Dance Music Club) at his university where he developed his skills as a Dj spinning Progressive House and Breakbeat on the local school radio and at rave parties.
As a DJ, no one could question L.I.T's versatility; whether he's creating a night woven with bright and dark progressive beats, or charging up the dance floor with electrifying Trance synth strings backed up with hard techno beats. L.I.T constantly and intuitively works his sets with his creative mixing that get his audience lost in his eclectic journeys.
