Six years ago I was appearing on "Days of Our Lives" as Deidre Hall's secretary and I was about to launch a new campaign for Bloomingdale's Digital Network as their West Coast Spokesmodel. When I came down with chronic fatigue syndrome from getting my first flu shot, I was forced to re-examine my career choices. This is a perfect example of taking lemons and making lemonade, because now I have a company, named after my mother, Grandma Gillie's. I started with cookies, cakes and sweets, then wrote a children's book and now have a very successful greeting card division. I have learned to manage my illness and my business is thriving. Thanks to all of my friends and my family for your support! You can read more about my company at: www.grandmagillie.com
