Straight out Of Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn is SKY-O. SKY-O is a talented entertainer who is destined to make his mark on the world. He grew up in a musical household full of gospel, classic R&B and soul music.
In the mid 90s, SKY-O's older brother introduced him to hip-hop/rap music. He fell in the love with the music once he heard it. He listened to classic albums, such as Dr. Dre's: The Chronic, Wu-Tang's: 36 Chambers, and Biggie's: Ready to Die.
Once he entered High School, SKY-O began writing rhymes every day after school. His Music was his place of refuge. All of his anger went into his rhymes. That anger and seriousness came forward when he would battle fellow Mc's in the hallways of Boys & Girls HS.
In 2004, After Graduating high school, SKY-O entered Baruch College. He began working on a mixtape. After months of work, in 2006 he came out with: Sky’s Tha Limit Vol. 1.
In 2007, SKY-O linked up with fellow friends and formed The Reckless Takeover Tour. SKY-O was the star mc of the group which consisted of a singer, comedian and poet. They performed at various clubs and colleges. Some of those schools were: Mount Ida College, Baruch College, John Jay College and Brooklyn College. SKY-O has shut down clubs such as Club Speed, Nightingales, The Remote Lounge, The Manhatta, Club Spy and Ralph Gardens to name a few.
In Addition, He is an on-air personality for Baruch College Radio WBMB 87.9 Tha Bizz. His show The Top 10 countdown airs every Thursday from 1-2pm. You can listen by going to www.wbmbradio.com.
Currently, SKY-O has finished his new mixtape, Sky’s Tha Limit Vol 1.5: The Freestyle Edition. He is looking forward to working with any producers and artist for his next mixtape/album.
He is ready to make his name known form the streets of the Brooklyn to the tribes in South Africa. SKY-O is a true talent. After one conversation with him you will realize that he is not your ordinary person or artist. Music is only one side of his talents.
