About Me

Sorry guys, I won't plaster my gazongas all over the web for a few extra clicks... but I will share who I am.
I LOVE traveling (I just returned from an incredible tour of Europe ), I also love music (probably goes without saying), basketball, watching sports / playing sports, writing, art, poetry, modeling, fashion design, outdoors, snorkeling, sunshine, hanging out at the beach, being barefoot, and a good laugh. I have also discovered a newfound love for bellydancing.
I am a music teacher, a landlord, an entertainer, and a dreamer. I am an honest, down to earth, right brained extrovert, a happy, high energy girl with no issues, but I can be pretty crazy sometimes: ). Your first impression of me will likely be way off the mark. My closest relationships are few, but strong. I love it when people say hi! I try to be genuinely nice to everyone, so go easy on me...
I am passionate, and I don't like to do things half way. Making music is what brings me the most happiness in life and it is still what I want to do when I grow up : ) I am living my dream singing, composing, playing the guitar and piano for those that will be my audience. I hope to see you at a concert some time. It means the world to me that I can make people feel good with my music - make them laugh, cry, remember a certain goodness about life. It's hard to pick just 4 songs, but here are some of my newest pop/folk/blues pieces. If you want more, or to purchase my CD's, visit my Official Site: WWW.REBECCAHELMER.COM

Singer/Songwriter Bio:
" Up and coming singer/songwriter, Rebecca Helmer is quickly gaining a reputation as the new voice of pop rock, with a catchy, original sound. Rebecca was born into a musical family and has been singing since she could speak. Since exploring her talents as a composer on the piano as a child, and teaching herself guitar as a teenager, she has written an abundance of instant hits. She has made televised appearances, such as the 2005 vocal competition, Gimme the Mic, and on air in the KLSY Ultimate Idol. After her original, self titled acoustic album sold out in a matter of months, she produced her sophomore album, Intrigued in 2005, which has drawn the same excitement from fans. On the album, Rebecca displays her vocal range and control with songs that come from the depths of her soul, and others that flow soft and flirtatiously over catchy guitar hooks and delicate piano pieces. Her witty, awakening lyrics are beyond her years and haunt listeners long after they’ve been sung. Her newest single, Desire features a sexier side of Rebecca that exhibits her powerful, sultry voice that has been likened to the soulful sounds of Alicia Keys and Natasha Bedingfield, and the passionate expressions of Sarah McLachlan. Her music is a provocative and intriguing hybrid of pop, rock, folk, and soul which critics define as simply beautiful, and agree "...this woman is going places..." Just as her songs remain in the mind, Rebecca Helmer is here to stay."
Just for fun... : )
