The section came together when Mark Levron and Matt Chauvin began a brass duo on a search for musical knowledge and, of course, a gig. They began hitting the music scene of Houma, La. about 3 years ago with local jam nights. Jam nights moved venues every couple of months. The most infamous of the Houma/Thibodaux jams was Thursday nights at Tab Benoit's Music Cafe. Josh Garrett ,
singer/songwriter/guitarist, and Matt Gros joined up with Levron and Chauvin and began Josh Garrett and the Bottomline in December 2005. Look out for the new funk/jazz project... Theodore Funxtable ...coming straight to you with intentions of funking!
