Aclys formed in October 1996. After recording the first 4-Track sametitled 7", released on the legendary Per Koro Label, aclys achieved a well-know name in the german HC-scene. With their first full lenght album "Helduntergang" in 1998 a german HC-Milesone was set. Followed by their "Liedergeburt" album in 2000 aclys' music became know europe-wide and was well apreciated as highly innovative and technical New School Hard Core, which later should be known as MetalCore. Allthough the band took a four-year time out the band never split up. In 2004 they released their third full-lenght Album "Artefakt" - still following no MetalCore-Trend and still being unique in their musical style, which is determined mainly by Denis' extraordinary guitar riffing and Nils' technical drumming. As a german band aclys always wrote their lyrics in german. For thus they could reach a lyrical quality whis is considered as poetry among native german speakers.
