Sixx Addiction / Sixx Devils

Nikki was born Franklin Ferrana on December 11, 1958 in San Jose, but spent his childhood moving to many other places: Mexico, Twin Falls (where his grandparents lived), El Paso...then finally moved to L.A. at the age of 17.

He was raised by a single mom (Deana) after his father left them when he was still a child. His childhood was quite troubled.

He was very close to his grandmother Nona, to whom Nikki dedicated a song ("Nona" - Girls, Girls, Girls) when she died in 1986.

At the age of 17 he auditioned to play in a band called Sister with Blackie Lawless (W.A.S.P.), then he joined a band called London, but he felt he did not fit in, because he wanted to form a "Theatrical Metal Band" (and he finally did it - thanks from all your fans for doing that, Nikki!).

Nikki has written most (say ALL) Mötley songs.

On dec 23 1987, Nikki was pronounced dead by an overdose, but he came back to life when a doctor shot adrenaline right through his heart. This inspired him to write the lyrics of "Kickstart my Heart".

Nikki created an arts program called "Running Wild in the Night" to help homeless kids discovering their talents. Many news can be found on his website.

His solo career focuses on his other band Brides of Destruction and his side project "58".

One of Nikki's hobbies is photography (his favourite photos may also be found on nikkisixx.net).

Nikki and Tommy (Lee) appear in Ratt's "Back for More" video, playing the parts of two policemen.

Nikki used to have a line of clothing.
