Spy-da-man is a Dancehall artist, His real name is Omin Nyong. He hails from a clan called Ikot omin in CrossRiverState in Nigeria, the West African region. He was born there but grew up in Lagos. Blessed as a young boy with melodic ear and the Najia beat. His kind of music is Dancehall with a fusion of every brand of music mixed in. He is in his mid-twenties and he is studying computer science in a LagosState university.His music is heard echoing through the streets of Lagos and videos can be seen on Nigerian music television. At the age of 28 he already has several cd's and 2 music videos. SPY-DA-MAN started is musical career about 10years ago. He performed at the just concluded big brother Nigeria after eviction party,(frank’s edition)at the Vault. He has done some movie soundtracks (Campus Queen, Prodigal Brothers e.t.c) His first effort was "Oliver Twist" (Do you want some more) which featured Sound Sultan a few years ago.He is a great stage performer and has worked with brands like Benson&Hedges, Vmobile, Guinness e.t.c. and also notable people like Charly Boy,former(PMAN President). He is a member of Naija Ninjaz, a musical squad based in Lagos, Nigeria. He has been in the industry for awhile and has gained underground respect and fame. Omin is frequently asked to appear on entertainment shows both radio and television. He had a double personality as a T.V presenter of a musical program "Reach Out "on MITV as Omin. He has also presented TV shows like (Golden Rockers) on Silverbird TV,vybeplus on LTV . MTV base music awards where his album "Let It Go" was nominated for the best reggae/dancehall album at the hip hop world awards for 2007.His debut album titled "LET IT GO" which features names like Sunny Neji, Sound Sultan, 2-shotz, Kash 11,C-mion,Ojb jezzerel, W4, Sid and many more.
