About Me

(Most of the pictures are taken by me unless otherwise noted, just posting shots at random, so may not be my best but hopefully not my worst.....)Lived in Kansas, Maine, Rome NY and a few other places and then Okla.I got my first camera when I was around 13, first concert was Bloodrock and Grandfunk Railroad in the early 70's. Next Alice Cooper. My first backstage pass was in Kansas City 1974 for M. Mann Earth Band and Uriah Heep. I met Ruby Starr and Grey Ghost my last day of high school and then Alice Cooper the next day. It was a great way to start that next chapter in my life!!!During 1975 I started taking pictures for Little Wing Concerts in Tulsa Okla.,they had their offices in Cains Ballroom at the time. About 120 mile drive from Enid, this was more of a trade off, I got in the shows for taking pictures. So a lot of great concert's during the 70's and 80's. It's been sometime since I have taken concert pictures but glad I was able to do it when I did. I guess I would consider myself more of an amateur that got to photograph what he loved.Through the 70's to the 90's I did small time lighting for bands mostly at local clubs. Early 90's I did one U.S. Club tour with an 80's tech band.. My last shows were around 97. A special one being Bill Ward with his solo band at the time. A few months later Bill was asked to rejoin Black Sabbath. A special thanks to Bill and crew for coming from LA to play one show in Okla. for a friend in need!!Some of my pictures have been used in the past for: Jam Magazine based in Okla 70's and 80's, Cover shot of Cain’s Ballroom for Performance Magazine, Stage Ad shots for Little Wing Concerts in Various trade magazines. Pictures on the sleeves of Dio’s Holy Diver LP and a shot of Ritchie on Rainbows Down To Earth LP sleeve. Pictures on Richie Ranno’s (Starz) Solo Ep. Van Halen The Edge fan magazine, Queensryche fan magazine. Over 30 pictures in Garry Sharpe Young’s recent Sabbath Bloody Sabbath Book. Various websites, starzcentral, bobdaisley.com, Mick Ralphs, Cozy Powell, rockdetector. Several other book projects in the works. Special thanks for those that gave me credits. My picture section shows pictures from a BOA show with the late Ruby Starr, Michael Hedges and few other's that have crossed over into a place where I hope they have found peace.Again all pictures are taken by me unless otherwise noted, I may ad clippings or magazine covers to share from the past.I just put up a Fallen friends folder recently in memory of a few local friends that didn't quite make it this far and not sure at times why I got to. So Blaine, Jimmy, Paul and Michael Hedges and several others I don't have pictures of yet...... and for some of the rock stars I met and saw along the way..... cheers and hats off to ya....... I'll never forget you guys! Some of my Black and White pictures I have added color tinting to for myspace motives only......

My Interests

Music and Photography at one time. Pictures posted were taken by me or of me with my camera. I never made pro level or made money taking pictures and have not shot a concert in many years.... I have posted more pictures then I had planned to and it feels great to share. So if you repost, borrow or share, please leave my name on them so I can at least be remembered for something... A few don't have my name and a few others are scanned from magazines...with the intent of sharing a bit of rock history... Other interest...... knowing a few secrets of the Universe would be nice....

I'd like to meet:

There are many...... The Dalai Lama.......The Rockers, The Writers, The Mystics..... for starters. In the past few weeks I can say that I have met some amazing artist and people. From rock music people and fans to ambient, world music and those that create healing music with so much inner soul and feeling that there really is no way to put a label on what they do.There is a lot to be shared on myspace and I hope that everyone will embrace and take in what each as to offer... ..

Music:

So many..... but will add a few at a time.... Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Dio, Rainbow,Blackmores Night, Starz and Richie Ranno related, Legs Diamond, Michael Hedges (RIP),Steve Roach, Queensryche, BOC, Bloodrock, UFO, MSG, Ruby Starr (RIP)and Greyghost,BOA, Bang, Frank Marino and Mahogany Rush, Bob Daisley's projects- (Living Loud, Hoochie Coochie Men, Gary Moore),The Tea Party, Uriah Heep, Riot, Judas Priest, White Witch, Nazareth, Royal Hunt, Lacuna Coil, Metal Church, Loreena Mckennitt, Angel,DarkHeart-El Paso TX, Leatherwolf, Metallica, Heaven and Hell. I use to be only hard rock in the early day's but opened up to more later in life, also any artist that has gone through the struggle of getting their music out deserves credit for at least trying. Don't waste your life wondering what if!!! Because one day you will wake up and it is a let down knowing you could have done better and you should have pushed a little harder to get it done or to have taken that better picture. There are more bands and new bands I have met and hope that you can visit there spaces and see what they have to offer. I wish I could put up a sample from each page I have been to..........
