I am Saavik I was born on Hellguard, an abandoned Romulan colony. I am half Vulcan and half Romulan. I am also the wife to Ambassador Spock and the mother to T'val. As a teenager and with Starfleet’s full knowledge of my heritage I was accepted into the Academy. Later on I discovered my future husband had “helped†with Starfleet accepting my enrollment. After graduation, as a fresh Lieutenant I was on my cadet cruise on the USS Enterprise is when I meet Admiral Kirk and for the first time in many years I once again meet Spock this time he was a Captain. It was on that cruise we discovered one of Kirks greatest enemy Khan Noonien Singh. Like a true Vulcan I suppressed my tears and anger when at the time we believed that Captain Spock had died saving the crew of the Enterprise. I watched in silence as they shot his “coffin†into orbit of the Genesis Planet.
I was then transferred to the USS Grissom on a mission to survey the Genesis Planet. It was on this mission that I meet David Marcus the son of Admiral Kirk. And I had a very short affair during this time. I also discovered that Captain Spock had somehow regenerated, and was aging at a high rate of speed. During his time of Pon Farr I helped ease him through it. I also discovered that Dr. McCoy had Captain Spock’s Katra I was also present at the death of Admiral Kirks son David Marcus.
During my Starfleet carrier I have been posted on many starships under the command of many great Captains. I silently grieved at the apparent loss of Admiral Kirk on the USS Enterprise NCC 1701 B to the attack of the Nexus Wave. After numerous offers of my own Command from Starfleet and possible the last offer they would make. I became the Captain of the USS Intrepid. One of our missions was too escorts the Vulcan Ambassador and his group to a top level meeting. It was during this mission I again meet up with Spock and shortly us after his meeting we were married. Two months after his departure I found out I was with a child. I resigned from Starfleet and had a baby girl we named T’val. I returned to Vulcan to raise her. When our daughter graduated from Academy a few months later.
I offered Starfleet my Service once more. I was quickly offered the rank of Admiral and an offer to be a member of the Federation Council. Both I turned down for I wanted to command another Vessel. Starfleet finally gave in and gave me a Delta Class Starship. This design was first intended to help in the Dominion War. After the war the project was shelved. That was until recently with the threat of from the Terran Empire the project was reinstalled. Starfleet in there wisdom gave me command of the first prototype Starship and it was an unnamed Starship. I named the Vessel the USS Grissom NCC 638-A.
