Introduction: Paul Scerri known as Paul Hamilton born January 24 1974 in Malta, had a young upstart in the music industry known for his ability to read people taking them to a never ending energetic journey beyond any expectations. Playing Trance and Progressive House for over a decade, he was mainly influenced by Dj’s such as Paul Van Dyk, Push, Ferry Corsten, and the late Tony De Vit’, for there production quality and skills. Paul now turned his likes to Big Room Funky, Electro and Deep House Music.
In 2004 Paul travelled to Dubai aiming for the next level, trying to gain more experience as a Dj and Producer in a bigger market with international artists, to be more competitive. He managed to get various gigs hammering practically every venue in town and established himself as one of the best House Dj’s in Dubai impressing the likes of many local and foreign promoters. His productions were first noticed by Grammy Nominees K.Klass, the same played out some of his tracks and delivered them to many other artists such as the The Shapeshifters.
In 2005 Paul won the MENA Global Heineken Thirst Dj competition (the worlds biggest Dj competition) impressing the likes of Sander Kleinenberg as one of the judges. After winning the competition, Paul had many openings and worked alongside many artists such as Tiesto, Sander Kleinenberg, Roger Sanchez, and Basement Jaxx.
In 2006, Paul won the Heineken Thirst Studio Gulf Heat held in Dubai. He was given a production course with S.A.E. Institute Dubai and Studio time with Groove Armada. He travelled to Whales to spend more studio time with K.Klass before working on the new remix of ’Let Me Show You’. Paul established himself as Dubai’s most wanted Dj and resident for massive events such as Miss Moneypenny’s, One Love, Godskitchen and Fierce Angles. He also managed to get some remixes signed up with record labels.
