I am a musician who plays percussion. I love all things drum. I even love the smell of my drums. Exploring the world of percussion is my salvation. My leanings toward crazy are always kept in check by means of jamming. Though I have studied theory and a slew of techniques on various instruments, I play with my heart and ears. Technique and theory can only get you to the show. These are lifelong pursuits that generally allow us to beat ourselves up. Learn as much as you can, especially when to "forget" what you have learned. Music is not a sport. Music is energy and we are the medium. It is our job to make others feel good.
