(ME!) :)I love music, mostly heavy metal (esp. power/prog/goth), opera, folk, rock and even some blues. I also like to sing, read, draw, photography and write poetry. I also like to cook and I collect various cook books and recipes. I am especially always on the look out for good strawberry recipes as I love strawberries with a passion and my family used to grow our own when I lived in Minnesota. I love animals, especially cats. My best friend is my cat, Noah. I collect all kinds of cat things. Besides my enjoyment of writing poetry, I have also written some freelance book and music reviews for several magazines and am always looking to contribute to any magazines that may be interested in me. I like to paint/airbrush over a lot of my photos; to give them what my friend Cindy calls "artsy drama." It adds to the mood as well as gives a creative touch to an otherwise basic photo.

Music:
My favorite bands/artists are: Labyrinth, Nightwish, Lacuna Coil, Theatre of Tragedy, Leave’s Eyes, Epica, Blackmore’s Night, Edenbridge, Within Temptation, Xandria, Dio, Rhapsody of Fire, Luca Turilli, Iced Earth, Blind Guardian, Demons & Wizards, Evergrey, Sonata Arctica, Savatage, Circle ll Circle, Stratovarius, Hammerfall, Therion, Queensryche and Iron Maiden. I greatly admire the singing talents of Tarja Turunen and Liv Kristine Espenaes Krull. Other female singers I especially admire are Karen England and Rebecca Knight (Opera Babes), Jo Appleby and Tsakane Valentine (Amici Forever), Sarah Brightman, Hayley Westenra and Chiara Zeffirelli. I am a big fan overall of bands with female vocalists and I am an aspiring singer myself. Of all of my ‘idols’ my voice would probably be most comparable to that of Liv Kristine (although she is still better!). My two favorite male singers are Zachary Stevens (Savatage/Circle ll Circle) and Rob Tiranti (Labyrinth). Their voices touch my heart and soul very deeply and the fact that they are also two of the most gorgeous men on the earth is very nice too! I also admit that I watch American Idol. I do like Kelly Clarkson, Nikki Mc Kibbin and Carrie Underwood and admire their voices a lot. The CD currently in my player, as I write this, is Opera Trance -featuring Chiara Zeffirelli. Movies:
I loved the Lord of the Rings movies. Bram Stoker’s Dracula is another favorite. I like movies (also books) with a dark romantic vibe to them, therefore, well done vampire stories appeal to me. I like some horror films with dark atmosphere/ambience. I like the more artsy type films.
Television:
I would much prefer to read, but I do get absorbed in the History and Discovery Channels sometimes.
Books:
I like fantasy and romance novels, or ones with darker erotic themes.
Heroes:
My parents, my best friend Cynthia and all the female vocalists I mentioned earlier.
