I'd like to meet a selecta who can stop talk for a minute and run tune. Nowadays dances arent how they use to be. I know times change and "evolve" but when you go to hear a sound play or go to a soundclash or go to a dance and the selectors play tunes, can we start hear more of the tune than your voice? I have spoken to counless artists and producers who say the same thing. This is why dances just don't have the positive vibes like they use to more times; because a ber selecta a chat off dem mouth n fling word. To much of anythng isnt good. The newer generation has basically lost respect for the artist and are more concerned about their own name but are building their names off the artist's name but dont give the artist more than 3 to 10 seconds on the audio. If you ask almost any one of those icons you are playing I can guarantee they will say the same thing. Most selectors/sounds chat way to much. It just isnt how it use to be. Look how the vibes were then and how they are now and you wonder why? Tone it down a bit. We are tired of hearing how much of a badman you are. I support the soundmen but It's about the music. Not you.
