My Interests

overcoming the crap dealt out to me in life (self-help), living life to the fullest each and every passing moment. I also enjoy anything that stimulates the mind (that's not chemical HA!) and striving to be the best person I can be. I'm a Zen Buddhist, biker, wannabe hot rodder, and soon to be hobbyist welder. I'm also a lover and not a fighter.

I'd like to meet:

hitchhikers on the journey of life

Music:

pretty much anything that ISN'T pretentious commercial crap. I tend to not jump on the bandwagon buzz for the latest, greatest act. I know what I like when I hear it.

Movies:

I'm a sucker for 1970's car chase movies. That's the one mindless entertaining genre that I can stand to watch over and over. Usually though, I like anything that it well written and has good cinematograpy. CG animation doesn't do much for me, even though I'm a big 'Star Wars' fan.

Television:

'Mythbusters' rocks! I also watch a lot of documentaries and I love watching pro football. Reality shows make me want to look for my noose, except for 'Monster Garage' and 'Overhaulin''

Books:

Zen study soothes my soul and Samurai history peaks my interest

Heroes:

anyone that finds their true self

another year

So, my birthday is rolling around again on Saturday. I'm about to turn 34 and that means I'm creeping ever so close to the dreaded "middle aged". However, rather than being woeful, I can't help but fe...

end of the line

The doctors are leaving it to my brother, being that he is the legal guardian, whether or not to put our Dad on a ventilator. Basically, it's the end of the line. He probably doesn't have any longer t...

Legacies

I'm going to pose a philosophical question and your answer will depend upon your personal value system: Is it better to leave behind a tangible legacy such as a business, act of historical significanc...
