Zabili Mi Zolwia

Zabili Mi Zolwia was created in 1997 in a small town near Bielsko-Biala called Mazancowice. The band was formed by a group of friends that came together by a common passion of playing music. First Zabili Mi Zolwia’s show was a performance at Primary School in Mazancowice in May 1999.
After over a dozen concerts in 2000 guitarist Szymon Taranowski was replaced by Kuba Wieczorek. In the meantime band accepted Wojtek Homa who introduced a new instrument – an accordion.
Present and stable composition of the group is: Kuba Wieczorek – guitar, Michal Wojnar – vocal, Wojtek Homa – accordion, Dominik Barnas – bass, Przemek Danel – drums. Zabili Mi Zolwia plays music which can’t be classify – players combine the mixture of ska, reggae and punk music – into practice it gives very interesting impression.
Group recorded its stuff (with very simple technologies) – for the firs time – in October 1999, forming their first demo – where occurred songs like: “Kwiatek”, “Byc czlowiekiem”, “Serce ogrodu” and “Starzec”.
First half-professional record – “Akt I” was registered in February 2001. It’s delivery and distribution was taken up by the band, realization of recording was done on home-made equipment by Piotr “Yoyo” Jakimow.
In November 2004 - Jarek Czulak “Shalwia” became a manager of Zabili Mi Zolwia. He enlarged the frequency and reach of gigs.
In May 2005 band registered new promotion stuff which announce second Zabili Mi Zolwia’s record. The realization of three songs – Promo2005- called: “Wiosna”, “Barykady” and “Dlaczego”, was made in Bielsko-Biala’s studio Media-Art by Tomasz Zborek. Promo2005 was broadcoasted in many radio stations and mp3 web sites where songs quickly achieve top places in respect of genre categories.
Zabili Mi Zolwia performed with Farben Lehre, Akurat and Cala Gora Barwinkow on Punky Reggae Live 2006 Tour, which cut many frequence’s records in polish music clubs.
On 30th March 2006 took place premiere of the first professional Zabili Mi Zolwia’s record – “Uczucia w promocji”, that was published by Wroclaw’s music company - Rockers Publishing.
Together with delivery of new album the band has started promotion tour which will has lasted till the end of 2006.
On 23th December 2006, after over 2 years of co-operation, Jarek Czulak (previous manager) left Zabili Mi Zolwia. Now guys are arranging shows by themselves.
Since 16th February 2007 'till 22th April 2007 Zabili Mi Zolwia appeared on PUNKY REGGAE Live 2007 Tour . With Farben Lehre and Koniec Swiata they will have shows in 28 cities. There also appeared bands as guests - for example: Leniwiec, ZMAZA, De Lindows, Meltown, Clockwork Mind or Voltaire. On 11th of May 2007 - new video 'Wiosna' has been released. It has been made by Mateusz 'Mania' Winkiel [http://maniastudio.pl] during Punky Reggae Live 2007 Tour.

On 23th of June 2007 Zabili Mi Zolwia appeared on MANIFEST - two-days' festival created by Maniastudio and Miejski Osrodek Kultury in Koluszki to promote polish alternative music and polish art.
On 6th of October 2007 Zabili Mi Zolwia started a new autumn tour with Leniwiec band. They will appear in 22 cities in Poland ! Be prepared...
