A hot new band from Seattle, Global Heat blends conscious hip-hop rap, R&B vocals, vintage keyboards, guitar, sometimes sax & flute, electric bass, percussion, and drums. Based in the Seattle area. Influences include Black-eyed Peas, Soul Live, The Roots, Weather Report, Spearhead, Herbie Hancock, and mother Africa.

Band Members: The Professor (USA), aka Jairus, is never far from the source of rhythm and movement. In addition to his Emcee rap and break dancer role in Global Heat, the Professor is with The Rebelz and the Seattle BYC B-boy crew. Author of "The Hip-Hop Handbook," the Professor lives to teach and entertain on a daily basis.----- MC Justice (USA), aka Justin Murta, brings intelligent, political poetry and high-energy delivery to the hip-hop stage. His work with The Rebelz brought him local accolades and tours in the US & Japan. From country to country, Justice continues to command the microphone with his explosive freestyles and enigmatic lyrics.----- Rob Pastorok (USA) plays keyboards and talking drum for Global Heat. Rob has studied world music and jazz for more than 25 years. Rob is also the leader of Maya Soleil Afro-World Fusion Music & Dance Ensemble. His influences come from listening to Joe Zawinul of Weather Report, Herbie Hancock, and Black-eyed Peas, as well as performing with several world-class African musicians.----- Marvin Shields, Jr. (USA) aka MSJR delivers in-your-face bottom end bass combined with smooth vocal harmonies, giving Global Heat a diverse, solid foundation. Marvin has performed in over 24 countries. He breathes all styles and concepts of music making him a delight to work with. He has performed with Sam and Dave Soul Man and with opening acts for Rose Royce, Confunksion, and Lakeside.---- "Drum Man" Ronnie Bishop (USA) is a musical drummer with proficiency in R&B, jazz, latin, funk, hiphip, reggae and other styles. In the Pacific NW, Ronnie is in high demand as a drummer for live shows and recording sessions. He is currently working or has worked with many great bands in addition to Global Heat, including: Gruvbox, saxophonist Darren Motamedy, guitarist Michael Powers, keyboardist Deems Tsutakawa, Nu Sol Tribe, and Rhythm Suite to name a few. He has played in concerts opening up for Roberta Flack, Lenny Kravitz, Pink, Presidents of the United States, Keith Sweat, and Tony, Toni, Tone’.---- Special guests on recordings and some live shows include guitarist Marc Moerth from Austria, R&B vocalist Susan Anthony, drummer Ben Wieczorek, drummer Jason Falk, and drummer T.J. Morris
